Pavaratty Police Station came into existence on 01.12.1988 Vide G.O. (Rt) 5413/88/Home dated 28.10.1988. As per the G.O. (Rt) No. 3838/13/Home dated 19.12.2013, Police Station commenced functioning in the present building on 28.02.2014. Total area of Police Station jurisdiction is 6008.37 Htr. and total population is approximately 1,21,225 as per the census of 2011 and comprises 8 villages.

The Police Station is situated approximately 07 kms away from the famous Sreekrishna Temple, Guruvyoor and about 24 kms away from Thrissur town.

Janamaithri Project is functioning in Pavaratty Police Station. Eight Jnamaithri beats are functioning under the guidance of Inspector of Police, Guruvayoor and a community relations officer.

Places to Interest

An important lake “Enamakkal” is also situated within the Station limits. A vast area of mangrove is also seen at various places like Koorikkad, Painkanniyoor, Maruthayaoor etc places within the Police Station limits.

A number of important worship centers of different communities are also situated in the station jurisdiction. During the festival season approximately 70 “ Poorams” with the procession of elephants are celebrated. Pavaratty St. Joseph’s Church thirunnal and Chittattukara St. Sebstian’s Church Thirunal are the most important festivals conducted by Christian community within Pavaratty Station. Chenthrathy Palli Nercha” at Maruthayoor celebrated by the Muslim community with the mass presence of people is another important festival.

There are 32 schools 2 Arts and Science Colleges functioning in Pavaratty Police Station Jurisdiction. Many a number of State and Central Governments are also functioning within Pavaratty Police Station Jurisdiction.
