Cyber Cell, Thrissur started functioning under Crime Detachment, Thrissur on 11.08.2008. From the date of formation of the cell, it has been dealing with all kinds of Cyber offences, Collection of Call details from service providers, tracing out lost / stolen mobiles etc.
The cell has assisted the investigation officers of the district in a number of sensational Crime Cases. It has also provided faculties for awareness classes on Cyber Crimes for various organisations.
As part of the bifurcation of the Thrissur Police district into Thrissur City and Thrissur Rural, Cyber Cell, Thrissur has also been got divided into Cyber Cell, Thrissur City and Cyber Cell, Thrissur Rural.
Cyber Cell, Thrissur City is situated at Office of the District Police Chief, Thrissur City, Thrissur adjacent to the Chamber of District Police Chief, Thrissur City. Now the Cell is being supervised by ACP, DCRB, Thrissur City.
Petitions regarding any Cyber offence can be submitted to ACP, DCRB, Thrissur City.
