Ollur Police Sub Division was formed bifurcating the jurisdiction of erstwhile Thrissur Sub Division as per G.O. (Ms) No.35/2021/Home Dated 10.02.2021. Ollur Sub Division started functioning on 18.02.2021, is having jurisdiction over Ollur, Mannuthy, Peechi and Viyyur Police Station Limits of Thrissur City District. The SDP office is functioning in a building located in the same compound of Ollur Police Station, wherein the erstwhile /Circle Inspector Office of Ollur had earlier functioned. Office of the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Ollur was inaugurated by the Honourable Chief Minister of Kerala on 18.02.2021.

JURISDICTION

          The Ollur Sub Division is having 4 Police Station.   Ollur Sub Division comprises of Thrissur Taluk and part of Thalapilly Taluk.  The Ollur Sub Division consists of 21 Villages.  Details are given below:-

OLLUR PS:  Ollur Edakunny, Marathakkara, Nadathara, Kainoor, and Mannamangalam

MANNUTHY PS:  Ollukara, Vellanikara, Madakkathara, Kozhukully, Nettissery and Mulayam

PEECHI PS: 2) Peechi and Pananchery

VIYYUR PS: 8) Killanur, Kolazhy, Pottore, Kuttoor, Peringavu, Vilvattom, Kurichikkara and Madakkathara

Parliament Constituency: Ollur, Thrissur , Alathur

Assembly Constituency: Ollur, Thrissur, Wadakkanchery

Ollur Sub Division office is functioning in a building located in the same compound of Ollur Police Station, wherein the erstwhile /Circle Inspector Office of Ollur had earlier functioned.  The farthest police station of the Sub Division is Peechi Police Station which is 25 KMs East from the Headquarters of the Sub Division. The Sub Division consists of two Taluks &ndash Thrissur  Taluk and Thalapilly Taluk.  The Sub Division shares common boundary with Alathur Sub Division of Palakkad District, Thrissur, Chalakudy and  Irinjalakuda, Sub Division in Thrissur District. 

 There is a big dam situated at Peechi.  NH 544  is passing through this Sub Division. One Highway Police KILO 21 based at Mannuthy PS is operating under the supervision of this Sub Division officer. Important institutions like Kerala Police Academy Thrissur, Kerala Agriculture University, Government Engineering College Thrissur etc. are also situated within the jurisdiction of Ollur Sub Division.
